Training
Training
Here at Carolina Equestrian, we specialize in AQHA all-around events as well as tune-ups. Our training program is adjusted to meet the needs of each individual horse. We will work with your horse 4-6 times per week through riding and groundwork while emphasizing consistency and communication. By going at a pace set by the horse, we strive for happiness and enjoyment of their “job” in our Equine athletes. Your horse will be provided with free-choice hay and a diet regiment tailored to them to maximize their potential.
We encourage the owners to learn alongside their horse. Discounts are given on lessons and we welcome you to watch the training sessions.

About the Trainer
Lisa DelMastro Wolf started riding at 9 years old. Originally from Connecticut, she spent her life immersed in the show world. Predominately showing in AQHA western performance events, her and her now-lesson horse “Sleepy” traveled as far as Oklahoma and Florida for five years together gaining multiple circuit championships, becoming a finalist as well as top ten at the AQHA Congress, and many regional buckles. After the sale of Sleepy, Lisa worked for TR Potts of Potts Performance Horses until moving to Louisiana. At PPH, she learned the ins and outs of training, the horse business and managing a large facility. Working with all ages of horses gave her experience in a wide scope of training from colt breaking to tune-ups. Upon moving to Louisiana, Lisa went to work at Farr Park Equestrian Center for a very large lesson program teaching as many as 40 kids per week. Here, she learned how to manage large groups of students, maneuver busy arenas at the sides of other instructors, and hone in her teaching skills. In addition to lessons, Lisa guided trail rides, taught summer camp, and performed demonstrations and clinics. Four times a year at the in-house horse show, she coached her kids in everything from western pleasure to 2’6 equitation classes to poles and barrels. She also worked with groups of special-needs adults and children and participated in both dressage and jumping clinics to continue her education. She left Farr Park and started her own barn called Quiet Side Stables out of Pride, Louisiana. Building it from scratch, she taught lessons and brought kids to local horse shows. In addition, she boarded, trained and trimmed horses as well as judged horse shows. At the end of 2017, Lisa moved to Carolina Equestrian in Rhode Island.
